At DHL Supply Chain South Africa we’re looking for 3x Warehouse Operatives at one of our Cape Town sites
Job Purpose
To safely and accurately move pallets of stock between locations. Responsible for loading and off-loading pallets from container or truck to storage location.
Key Accountabilities
Daily inspections on MHE and report any defects to Supervisor
Loading and off-loading of vehicles and containers
Ensure pallets are according to stacking standards and that there are no damages to pallets
When carrying out duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Ensure that all work areas are kept neat, tidy and obstruction free
Preparing orders and loading of vehicles as prioritised
RF Picking
Replenishment of stock
Picking of replenishments into the pick faces
Put-away of incoming stock into racking and bulk storage
Picking from pick face
Full pallet picking
Assist with cycle counting & stock counts
Sanitising Pick Face
Ensure that all operational activities are performed in line with the OMS – Kiosk – applicable Job Codes
To report and record any non-conformity with regards to customer merchandise
Adherence to Health & Safety rules
Adhere to the units SHERQ rules and best practices
Maintain high level of hygiene of the machine
To work within operating areas as determined by management and the needs of the business
Timeous and accurate completion of tasks
Report any person’s behaviour that may impact on the safety, quality and integrity of the stored product
Always wear the Company uniform with pride, ensuring that the uniform is clean and presentable
Perform administration tasks in line with SOP
Partake in the stock count process
Understanding the product specification when performing racking and bulk staking
Performance Indicators (What criteria will be used to assess the performance of the role holder)

Operating multiple MHE

Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting in line with health and safety regulations
Ability to enforce health and safety procedures
Working knowledge of packaging and warehousing methods
Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
Ability to count accurately and to perform simple math calculations
Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use MHE
Ability to work under pressure
Deadline driven
Logistics and warehouse experience
WMOS experience and knowledge
Education / Qualification / Certification Requirements
Matric / Grade12
Forklift certificate and Licence
Valid Reach Truck, Power pallet truck and counter balance MHE including attachment i.e. clamp, cage
