GENERAL WORKER VACANCY
External applications are invited for the above-mentioned positions.
The position is based in the Phokeng area, and the suitable candidate MUST stay or reside around the Kookfontein Mine host communities.
The key responsibilities of the position include:
Operation
Follow all instructions as per line manager.
Action & Rectify deviations and\or unsafe situations.
Operation of Hydraulic remote-controlled equipment and not limited to Stringing lines and marking levels.
Assist with the construction of launders, crossing, walkways and installation of pipes, safety nets, barriers, and any other site-specific installations as per standards and procedures.
Safety
• Take corrective measures and actions against all substandard acts and conditions- “if it is not safe, make it safe”
• Report all potentially dangerous situations to the safety representative.
• Ensure all equipment and tools checklist are completed prior to executing works.
• Always wear correct PPE.
• Undertake of partake in task and daily risk assessment.
Minimum qualification/experience required
• Grade 12
• Medically fit & full Security clearance as per client & company standards.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Value driven.
• Self-starter and self-disciplined
• Presentable.
• Basic knowledge of problems solving skill.
