Introduction
Applications are being accepted for qualified Boilermakers to assist production departments with
the design, construct, and maintenance of structures, implements and water networks in order to
meet the company’s strategic goals. The vacancy is located in Middelburg.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Design, construct and maintenance of structures, equipment and agricultural implements.
● Develop, install and maintain water supply networks.
● Drilling and maintenance of borehole and borehole equipment.
● Update time sheets and worksheets for completed tasks.
● Maintaining workplace discipline and standards and complying with occupational health and safety protocols and completing administrative tasks.
● Repair and maintenance of crop sluices, pipework, pump installations, farm equipment repair, as well as implements.
● Rebuilding and maintaining of Jacto pumps, tomato ridge and cliff scrapers.
● Planning maintenance on equipment and implements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
● A qualified Boilermaker, with proof of registration (Red Seal). Other appropriate trades will also be considered.
● Candidates must be able to work independently, but be able to work in a team setup.
● Possess good communication and leadership skills.
● Have practical experience and extensive experience in mechanical repair and development work.
● General welding serves as a prerequisite.
● General engineering and boilermaking, to repair and maintain machinery and implements.
● Read and understand drawings.
● Must be in possession of a code (EB) valid driving licence.
