SCOPE OF THE JOB:
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the injection Mold process including changing out Mold, completing setup, troubleshooting operating the Engle and OMSO machine and maintenance of injection Mold equipment.
This person will be responsible for:
Perform injection mould changes according to the production schedule (safely install moulds and remove them from injection moulding machines
completing setup, troubleshooting operating the Engle machine
Must have experience in Plastic Injection Machines
Set up and operate injection moulding machines in accordance with good manufacturing practice and standard operating procedures.
Ensuring that the injection moulding process is set up correctly and operating at optimal efficiency.
Monitor and manage mould maintenance in conjunction with the maintenance department.
Make sure parts meet the visual and dimensional criteria before the production run starts.
Report any unsafe conditions, follow safety and production floor rules.
Perform maintenance duties as needed.
Desired Experience and Qualification:
Grade 12 with math’s or relevant qualification
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently
Good analytical skills
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Critical thinking skills
Extensive experience in the plastics manufacturing industry
5-10 years injection moulding experience
Wage / Hourly Rates: Determined by MEIBC Grading Rates
