LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME VACANCIES AT ZOOM FIBRE

 

Are you looking to gain work experience and exposure in the telecommunications field?

 

Our Learnership Programme is the perfect steppingstone for workplace exposure, skills development and broadening your current knowledge base and/or experience.

 

 

We offer a 12-months Programme consisting of:

 

Occupational Certificate: Design Thinking Innovation Lead (NQF:4)

3-months Design Thinking Innovation Lead training (theory)

9-months office-based work experience

Monthly stipend

In partnership with our skills & training provider Diversity Empowerment, we are looking for motivated, driven and ambitious Learners to join our awesome team.

 

 

Learnership Details

 

Number of opportunities: x 8

Location: Rivonia

Duration: Fixed term learner contract, effective 01 August 2024 – 31 July 2025

Remuneration: Stipend to be confirmed once successful

Purpose of position: Enabling the Youth of South Africa to gain valuable workplace-experience and a certification: Design Thinking Innovation Lead (SAQA ID:118788)

Generic duties and responsibilities include;

 

Complete the learning and theory of the certification successfully

Integrate into the office environment

Participate in both office-based and fieldwork activities.

Attending to calls/tickets, gathering data and monitoring networks, tickets and/or calls (inbound and outbound).

Support and participate department/company initiatives.

Provide assistance and support to customers, ISPs, Agencies and/or other internal or external stakeholders.

Support departments in the planning and coordination of various projects and/or initiatives.

Provide administrative support to the department team.

Assist in maintaining a centralised database for project files, documents and records, ensuring they are easily accessible and organised for efficient retrieval.

Participate in workshops, internal/team training and other formal/informal learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills over the course of the learnership programme.

All other KPA/KPIs as so determined by the relevant department

Minimum requirements

 

Qualifications:

 

National Senior Certificate

Completed Tertiary Qualification in relevant field (advantageous)

Experience:

 

None

Location

 

Office based – Rivonia, Homestead Office Park

Candidate must reside in and/or around the area or alternatively have reliable transportation.

Business Hours

 

You will be required to work 08h00 to 17h00 and/or 9 hours as determined by the department/operational requirements.

You will be responsible for your transport to and from work/ learning facilities.

Skills, Behaviours and Competencies

 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism;

Ability to work independently, show initiative and work within a team;

High level of integrity, confidentiality and office protocol;

Strong written and verbal communication skills (English);

Must demonstrate a genuine interest in and passion in telecommunications industry and customer service;

Excellent time management (punctual, reliable and efficient) and communication.

Other:

 

Must be a South African citizen;

Candidates must be unemployed South African Youth (as per the Skills Development Act);

Business language: English (speak, write and read) in addition, all other languages will be advantageous.
