Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a busy warehouse environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count stock.
This role requires proficiency in handling materials and ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities.
Responsibilities:
– Operate a forklift to load and unload materials from vehicles and containers
– Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure its safe operation
– Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions
– Keep accurate records of inventory levels and stock movements
– Assist in shipping and receiving tasks as required
– Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance when necessary
– Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
Skills:
– Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
– Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
– Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment repairs
– Ability to handle heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding role
– Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory tracking
– Competency in basic mathematics for inventory counting and stock management
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Graduate
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: R144 000,00 per year
Expected hours: 45 – 70 per week
