Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Packaging Department, at the Gqeberha, Secondary Production Plant. The successful applicant will report to Production Controller.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • To assist with general duties, cleaning of floors and take care of Company assets in and around Warehouse Department An employee shall be expected to take reasonable instruction as and when is expected to do so from a competent authority. The completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of Heineken
  • It is expected of the person in the position to be flexible to accommodate operational requirements’ demands
  • Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
  • Report any breakages or waste to the Controller.
  • Suggest any improvements to Management that can save the company time or money. Assist in quality matters.
  • Contribute in efforts to ensure maximum productivity of the team.
  • Participate in MDT / mini business activities / meetings to ensure optimal teamwork and team performance.
  • Assist in stock take where needed
  • Adhere to company health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in the area Loss and Waste exercise, identify losses and waste in own area
  • The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
  • Grade 12 and or relevant qualifications
  • 1 — 2 years’ experience as General Worker
  • Product knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Relative experience as General Worker within Warehouse or similar environment.
  • Must be physically health and strong to perform strenuous duties from time to time
  • Ability to initiate action spontaneously without being urged to do so
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  • Must be willing to work shifts including Night shifts, overtime and weekend if requested
  • To reflect good corporate governance towards colleagues, Supervisors and Company values
  • Candidate should have knowledge of safe working procedures.
