PE Waters: Bottling and Packaging
PE Waters is seeking to employ a reliable and detail-oriented Bottling and Packaging to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the packing and labelling, ensuring that they meet the company’s quality standards and are prepared for shipment
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Packing and Quality Control:
- Packing: Packing of finished products into designated packaging materials
- Inspection: Check candies for quality, consistency, and appearance before packing
- Labelling: Apply labels and ensure all packages are correctly labelled with product information
- Sealing: Properly seal packages to maintain freshness and prevent damage during shipping
- Counting: Accurately count and pack the correct number of candy pieces in each package
- Documentation: Maintain records of packed products, including quantities and any issues encountered
Inventory Management:
- Stock Monitoring: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of packaging materials and report when supplies are low
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate basic packing machinery and equipment, ensuring they function efficiently and safely
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of packing equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Report any issues with machinery or packing processes to supervisors
Food Safety and Hygiene:
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, following all food safety and sanitation protocols
Qualifications required:
- Minimum of Matric
- Previous experience in a packing or manufacturing environment is a plus
Requirements include:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory tasks
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift/move packages as needed
