Duties & Responsibilities
A mechanical workshop assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of a mechanical workshop. Here are some key aspects and tasks associated with the role:
Responsibilities
- Tool and Equipment Management:
- Maintain and organise tools and equipment.
- Ensure all tools are in good working condition.
- Assisting Technicians and Engineers:
- Provide support during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Help with the assembly and disassembly of machinery.
- Prepare parts and components needed for specific jobs.
- Workshop Maintenance:
- Keep the workshop clean and organised.
- Dispose of waste materials properly.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Update logs for equipment usage and service history.
- Customer Service:
- Interact with customers to understand their requirements.
- Provide updates on the status of their equipment.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Familiarity with workshop tools and equipment.
- Organizational Skills:
- Ability to keep the workspace tidy and organized.
- Communication Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide clear updates.
- Physical Stamina:
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
Basic Requirements:
Male, 20+: Presentable, honest, and reliable.
Driver’s License: Licensed and experienced driver.
Logistics: Ability to load & collect/deliver Vespa scooters.
Hands-On: Basic experience working with tools and eager to learn more in a workshop environment.
